Meet Our 2016 Keynote Speaker

Lavinia Spirito is the Founding Team Teaching Leader for Catholic Word Bible Study (CWBS). Though she grew up in Rome, Italy, Lavinia received her BA in Anthropology and Spanish from The University of Michigan, obtained her JD from The University of Kentucky College of Law and is currently working on her Masters in Theology from The Augustine Institute in Denver, Colorado.

Through Renewal Ministries in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she collaborates in their Young Adult Ministry, i.d.916 and is part of the Teaching Team for their annual Summer Institute School of Bible Study. Lavinia is co-host of “Real Living” and “Unpacking the Gospel”, two weekly radio programs on relevant issues facing today’s Catholics. She has led and participated in Catechist and Deacon Formation, RCIA, Adult Education and CCD. Lavinia is active in parish renewal and the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the US and Italy. She prepares and delivers lectures for the CWBS presentations. She and her husband Michael live in Lexington, Kentucky with their two daughters.
